Update on Covid-19 Outbreak Info

May 8, 2020

Greetings,
As we navigate through the uncharted seas of this pandemic, the only compass we can follow is the one that points to the safety of our patrons and volunteers.  As much as we miss you and miss doing what we love, we cannot in good conscience ask you to gather with other loyal supporters, actors, crew, and friends until we all know more on how this can be done with confidence in everyone’s well-being.

Our Governing Board has outlined a plan to extend the 2019/2020 season to the end of this year.  Please understand that as the public health situation continues to evolve, plans could change once again. With that said, the current plan is to reopen September 18th with at least 6 performances of A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum.  There is a high likelihood that we will have more performances with smaller audiences to provide for proper social distancing.  Below is information for current ticket holders.

We have tried to keep seating preferences and apologize if your seating is altered.  Please email us for any questions about dates/seating.  As we have changed the dates and number of performances over the past months, your seating may have gotten moved.  We will, of course, do our best to accommodate your preferences and needs.

  1. Original Date March 27 / New Date September 18
  2. Original Date March 28 / New Date September 19
  3. Original Date March 29 / New Date September 20
  4. Original Date April 2 / New Date September 24
  5. Original Date April 3 / New Date September 25
  6. Original Date April 4 / New Date September 26
  7. Original Date April 5 / New Date September 27

Mamma Mia! will fill the holiday slot, opening on December 4th and run for 3 weekends.

The Encore Gala will be held in October, date, time and location TBA.  At the Gala, we will, as in the past, announce the lineup for the next season.  This year, that announcement will have a couple of twists; the 2021 season will be a calendar year running January through December and it will be the 1st season of the combined DCT, MTD Theatre Company.  The brochures for the 2021 season will be released at this time and officially kick off our annual season ticket and membership drive.

We also hope that the DCT Theatre School will be able to have at least one event during this time.
In the meantime, watch your emails and social media over the summer for announcements and even some exciting live streaming events like the Name Reveal for the new combined company.

Thank you all for being patient and understanding during this difficult time that has so tragically affected the entire globe.   As my father always said, this too shall pass, and when it does, we will be stronger and full of hope!   Until then, please stay safe and know how much we love you and can’t wait to see your smiling faces back at the Campus Theatre!

Gratefully,
Mike Barrow
