Auditions – Singin’ in the Rain

Directed by Pete Kelly and Aileene Stark.
Auditions will be at the former movie theatre inside Golden Triangle Mall located at 2201 S. I35, Denton on May 8 and May 9 at 7:00pm – 10:00pm.
All roles are available and include 10 women (ages range from late teens to “mature”) and 15 men, (ages range from late teens to “mature”). Resumes and headshots are appreciated, but not mandatory. Please prepare 16-32 measures of a song from any musical (can be from Singing in the Rain). Please bring sheet music – an accompanist will be provided. There will also be cold readings from the script and if you are interested in being considered for a dancing role, you are encouraged to bring tap shoes.
The first read through will be Thursday May 11.

Faithfully adapted from the film, this musical romp about the transition from silent films to “talkies” is filled with great tunes, comedic situations, and memorable characters. A true celebration of the golden age of Hollywood, this production is suitable for all ages.
Performances are July 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22 at 7:30pm and July 9, 15, 16, 23 at 2:00pm.
