Every year after all of the grapes are picked and the new batch of wine is introduced in the Beaujolais region of France, people and entities alike all over the world celebrate the new vintage. This celebration is done in various ways.

About 26 years ago, Carol & Gary Kirchoff, long-time supporters of Denton’s Historic Campus Theatre, had an idea. They would use the festival atmosphere created by this event to host a fundraiser to raise funds that help with the upkeep and maintenance of our beloved Campus Theatre. Rumor has it that this all started as a casual gathering of friends to celebrate the release of Beaujolais Nouveau, but Carol and Gary ended up creating a fundraiser that would span the upcoming decades and prove vital to our theatre’s health and upkeep status.

Since then, Beaujolais & More has become just that… MORE!! Denton’s finest restaurants set up tables and serve tasty treats to attendees. Denton’s finest wine and beer vendors do the same to help wash down these tasty treats. On top of that, raffles give attendees a chance to win really cool prizes that are given away on the spot.

BEAUJOLAIS & MORE FAQs

November 19, 2026 from 5:30-7:30PM at the North Texas Fairgrounds in the Point Bank Convention Building. Enter the building from the south side. The entrance facing Carroll Blvd. is blocked.

Yes. But you get a $5 discount if you buy them ahead of time. You can BUY TICKETS ONLINE, at the Campus Theatre Box Office or from any member of the Beaujolais & More Committee. Tickets are $35 in advance, $40 at the door and $35 online.

It is a true foodie event. While you will be served samples, the sheer number of food vendors and the fact that you can go through the line multiple times guarantee that you will get plenty to eat. This really is one of the best values for a fun evening out in Denton.

That’s fine. We also have Denton’s finest brewers and bars serving your favorite craft beers, water, soda etc. There is truly something for everybody.

How many people with a ticket will fit in your car? We don’t suggest putting people in the trunk or on top of the car to get them to Beaujolais & More. But because it is centrally located, multiple trips to get your posse together are feasible.

While we admit that our days at the Denton Civic Center proved a challenge to make room for enough seating, the NT Fairgrounds Point Bank Convention building is HUGE and there is more than enough seating for you and for your posse. GUARANTEED!

Excellent question! How about 200%? We have underwriters and other sponsors who generously donate money and in-kind goods and services to the event. Every single penny of your ticket price… & More will directly benefit our Campus Theatre!

Hahaha! You obviously haven’t noticed how casual this event is. Sure, you’ll see some suits, maybe a tux or two, but the majority is casual clothing, full plates and happy attitudes.

It is an ever-changing list, but this year’s attendees are listed on our Facebook Page. We make posts promoting our restaurant partners every year.

Nothing! You will have opportunities to buy raffle tickets and a souvenir wine glass, but you will not be pressured to do so, nor will you be put on the spot to make a donation while you are there. Your ticket and a healthy appetite are all you need.

Season tickets are available from the announcement of the new season (typically in October) until the close of the season’s first show (usually in February).
Season ticket holders may choose seating for the entire season or reserve show-by-show.
