Theatre Denton Virtual Summer Theatre Camp

Youth Productions

Due to COVID-19, we have decided to continue with our virtual offerings for the time being. We are looking forward to being able to resume our face-to-face classes and productions when we are able to do so safely and responsibly. In the meantime, we decided to put on not one, but two virtual productions!

For our fall productions, students will connect via Canvas and Zoom to gain theatre skills.

Fall 2020 Theatre School Printable Flyer

Emails detailing the sign-up process for Canvas will be sent to parents after payment is made.

All registered actors will be cast! We will have a costume and prop pick-up date scheduled (TBA) for each show. If actors participate from our of town, they will be responsible for gathering their own props and costumes. Tuition for actors (ages 8-17) is $150.

Techies wanted! While virtual performances differ from live performances, there are also many similarities. Student technicians will learn the nitty gritty of marking scripts, making cue sheets and costume maps, and will aid in virtual technical theatre stage management. Tuition for technical students (ages12-17) is $100.

Fortunes Read–Virtually Only $1 By Kamron Klitgaard

The Psychic Promoter promises that Virtual Fortunes has the answers to all your questions, and testimonials from several past customers (who all look surprising similar!)  reinforce the site as the one-stop, location for all your online psychic, palm reading, and fortune telling needs!  A steady stream of customers has the psychic offering visions of the future for just a buck apiece.  Dawn and her boyfriend Don ask about the results of a potentially career-changing phone call she’s about to get.  Don laughs off the seer’s fuzzy prediction as a con, but Dawn takes stock as it seems to come true just moments later!  As more visitors seek answers from the vague visionary, the questions and ambiguous answers pile up nearly as fast as the laughs.  This hysterical one-act is highly entertaining as it explores the lengths to which some people will go to hear what they want to hear.

All students must be available on audition and recording dates.

The recorded performance will be available for streaming.
